Tasted blind. Light translucent ruby -> light ruby rim with a garnet edge. No discernable bouquet. Palate almost non-existent. When revealed as Grand Cru Bugundy the room was stunned. Nobody had hazarded a guess that this flight was even pinot. Most thinking Grenache gone awry. Very disappointing.

No detailed notes, but as this was a '97 I wasn't expecting much. There was a bit of a Vicks 44 note on this, along with some burnt coffee. Interesting, but not a great example of good Burgundy.
