Burgundy Tasting (Restaurant Schweitzer's, Stuttgart): Glass: Zalto Burgundy Clear, youthful glowing medium ruby color. Very fresh, elegant and deep nose of a great Pinot. On the palate spicy, good grip, tannin is present but a bit rustic. Very juicy and elegant. Good length. Potential for another 5+ years on this level. 92-93

A Ledbury lunch (The Ledbury, London): Deep ruby, dense but bright. A touch of VA initially but this blows off quite quickly to reveal dark red fruit and a hint of the autumnal. Somewhere between silk and velvet on the palate, very cosseting and very drinkable. Mid to dark red fruit, a hint of sous bois, very mellow and smooth and long. Really lovely and showing a little plusher than the more animale 91. *****

Suprisingly fruity for its age. Nice balance, good acidity. When first opened had no secondary charactersitics but after about an hour some more earthy flavors came through. If you have any of this wine left in cellar, i would drink now
