This is a surprisingly approachable wine from Faiveley despite the vintage. Lovely dark fruited, spicy nose. Structured on the palate but without the harsh tannins. I quite like this for its seriousness yet approchability at the moment.

There's some grand cru classiness here, but also some oak and brooding youthfulness. It's delicious and worth drinking already, but the patient will be rewarded.
