3/12. Initially served quite cool this became fragrant with red fruit, spice, earth, notes of savoury games. Quite developed. Medium/full bodied on the palate, quite rich but with attractive vibrant acidity, smoky and savoury red fruit, long slightly firm finish. All in all excellent.

2/12, vg cork. Pale/medium garnet, pale garnet core. Showing soil, spice and red-toned fruit on the nose, touch of game on the palate which has vibrant acidity and still quite firm tannins which poke through a touch on the finish. This bottle not in same class as first one.

Cellaraid Grand Tasting and Burgundy Dinner (La Pepa): medium ruby; some good acids, tannins rounded, medium bodied, very complex, fairly long, evolved over time; raspberry, tomato, grass, cedar, earthy, forest floor, brine; excellent!

Very traditional wine. I would love to taste again at 20 years of age.
