Ronchi di Cialla Schioppettino di Cialla Vertical (Shanghai): Magnum. Much deeper in colour compare to the new vintage. The first nose of wild flower, wild juicy red berry. Earthy, gamy, ripe berry and baked sesame on the mid-palate. Medium tannin, linear acidity is penetrating, even aggressive. Drink now, but development would still go on.

Colore rubino intenso.

Light color. Nose has a lot of earthy notes, but light red fruit comes in as well. Light on the palate but brings nice soft secondaries of berry, mild smoky and earth flavors and a mild acidity. Almost feels like drinking an older Bordeaux. Not a wine I'm familiar with (neither the schioppettino grape nor the producer); had at a restaurant. But fun to drink.

This was excellent again. Same as before. I love the floral pepper element in this wine.
