1 of 3 cork came out in two pieces, initial nose was promisingly filled with sweet, fresh fruit. After an hour in a decanter the nose developed complexity and depth, the fruit remained round and fresh. fully resolved tannins, elegant texture, balanced, good minerality. Over time the earthiness turned to an iron backbone leading to long velvety finish. One of the best bottles of fully mature Latour I have ever had 🔥🔥🔥

New Year's Eve Warmup (State Street Manor - Chicago IL): From magnum. Amazingly fresh, even with cork soaked through. So much black fruit with braised meat, layered spice, and mushroom touches. Near perfect balance with very good weight.

(Château Latour Grand Vin) Port-like, raisiny nose; oxidized on palate, with port-like sweet cherry fruit and medium oxidized finish (mid-shoulder fill gave a warning)

From magnum. Base neck. Cork was soaked through. Drank over 6 hours and was amazing from start to finish. Consistent with prior notes.

Another amazing bottle from a different source. High shoulder. Not quite as fresh as the last example but still incredible.
