2019 Barolo Check in (My place, Portland OR): The shows a darker quality to the nose with a sourer take to the tones of raspberries, licorice, red currants, violets, roasted herbs, red cherries, and some mint leaves. The full bodied feel is well balanced, yet youthful with gripping, high tannins and tart, high acidity. There are a few rough edges that need to be smoothed out a bit with age, but this performs really well within the $50 range. I would love to see where this goes with another 5+ years as it settles into itself.

Barolo Master Class (Johns Creek, GA): Tasted during a "Barolo Master class" at The Wine Store in John's Creek, GA. Bottle opened for 2 hours prior to tasting and tasted with cheese, bread and charcuterie. Color is ruby red. Red fruit, super tannic, can smell alcohol on the nose. Good wine and was better with cheese. Brad - heavypourwine.com

This is easily my favorite of last three vintages. This drinks well now with minimal air but also shows promise for mid term aging. I believe this wine is one of the best values in barolo.

Drank over 2 notes - great on both (better on night 2). Didn't note color. Gorgeous nose. Cedar, rose petals, tart cherry, pipe tobacco and cherry pit. Medium+ body, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins and a very long finish. Palate profile consistent with nose. Great rec from Rezy13. 93-94 night 1, 94+/- night 2.
Glad I had 6 bottles in the cellar already.
