Drink by 2016? Surprise! This 35 year old non-MGA Barolo from La Morra is drinking great right now!
Dried rose petals, strawberry preserves, tar, old leather, smoked meat, tobacco, incense, dried porcini, allspice, licorice. Full bodied, with acid and tannins both still kicking, though the tannins are in a very mellow place. Won't get any better; but it's quite lovely right now. Great paired with roast pork stomach and shoulder with polenta; though it could go with many things.
