Decanted an hour or so before drinking. Cork fell into bottle. Slight signs of dried seepage under the capsule Red fruit (cherry), nice floral- rose, spice, slight earth, good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.

On the nose, I found a whiff of old library book, crushed cherry, tamarind and potpourri. On the palate, it was lean with vibrant acidity and rustic dried cherry fruits. The finish was long with mouth-coating fruit and inner aromas of medicinal herbs.

Light red in colour and bricking at the rim; this is lovely - a beautiful scent with mature red fruits, developed forestal earthy notes, black tea and leathery elements combining into a wonderful fragrance; elegant and resolved with lots of depth and complexity and barely any sensation of weight. Superb.

Truffle Dinner: Again, a beautiful dark garnet color, quite clear of sediment. On the nose, cedar with a touch of white pepper and mushrooms. Really lovely on the palate. Still quite tannic, with nice acids and beautiful, clean fruit. Mushrooms, tar, and more tannins. I expect the tannins will outlast the fruit on this wine.

Nothing special to me. Didn't like the nose. Others liked more. Cork crumbled. Fortified ?
