Purchased a case on release. Opened one bottle to use in and have with homeade spaghetti. It was corked. Opened another bottle. Both bottles (stored horizontally for a decade now), had wine seepage up the side of the cork. Lighter ruby color with plenty of bricking. Aromatically some tar, anise, and dried flowers, but no wow factor. On the palate, the fully integrated tannins allow the tar, anise, and smoked cedar to offer the predominant characteristics. A decent base of acidity, but nothing that really stands out for me. There is a modest mineral and anise driven finish.
Overall, nothing special for me. With four bottles remaining, my 2013 note of this going about 10 years seems like it is not longer-term than that. When I weigh the challenges of cellar storage and so many great vintages of old world wines circulating now, this is going to go into the Drink Now/Soon bin.
