Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 93 points

  • Lighter carmine red, brick tones at the rim; almost Burgundy like in it's translucency
On the nose Shiraz fruit, cedar, leather dust, a bit of sweaty saddle tone, good acidity. As happens so many times with Shiraz, this is a single instrument playing a brilliant solo as opposed to a whole symphony orchestra playing when you taste Bordeaux blends.
On palate soft and round; the pronounced acidity that shines at the beginning becomes much more subdued as the wine opens up over the next 2 hours or so.
An effortless elegance, grace and charm on display. An elderly aristocratic lady showing off...
Wine may be a tad past its prime, but it sure still has plenty of stuff to strut.
