From my cellar. You feel 2000; some alcohol here, deep, sweet, a bit pruny here, but not too much, less fresh than 2001, but still; does not get any better with air. On day 2 some what deluted, still not great.

Very dark. Concentrated & very 2005, some raisin, maybe, pushing the envelope just a bit – but keeps its balance & the stuffing is here for a long life. Ends sweet & charming. I like it – this will come around and shine eventually. On day 2 virtually unchanged. 91++ points.

Sweet, but charming nose. Rich, but balanced, very broad, delicate. Mature. On day 2, similar notes, this is a very elegant 2003 – as Reynauds wines in general with Des Tours Vacqueyras a sad exception.

Mature nose. Cinsault here. White pepper. Fresh, mature. Old fashioned neuf-style, almost in the direction of Bounneau. À point. Unchanged on day 2, still, drink up, I think.

From AF. Initially quite odd, nailpolish on the nose, a bit off, pruny nose. Better in the mouth than on the nose, still very rich, but the puissance is structured, fruit galore here, wait for this. On day 2 very much on the kirsch, alcohol, the rich vintage speak, goût Américain, but the taste is juicy and great, and the freshness is intact. 92++ points.

Too young, this is tightly knit, vibrant, promising. Mineral, airy, en danseuse. Concentrated, but you don’t feel it – it is a tight fist behind. This rider one is the first on the top of Mont Ventoux; wine even better on day 2. Big future here, but actually drinkable now. Flirting with perfect. Hedonistic wine, WOTN, no contest, really. Another glass? Yes, please. 98+ points.

Round and fine, this seems à point right now, I am the happy camper here: the balance is impeccable, this is pure harmony in the glass – and along with the Pignan 2001, this was the only one, that the boys actually finished on the night.

Locale, fine, broad – but no match for the 2001. Messy, says AD. On day 2, I like it better – the sweet Grenache-fruit speaks louder now, the texture more creamy, charming. Still, I do not see a great future here. Drink up - and enjoy.
