Simple pecorino,
The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like stoniness, lime and peach. It tastes like lime, white flowers/floral, melon, peach and stoniness. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.

Dark red full body. Initial tasting was fairly simple slight acidity and soft tannins. After an hour or so, acidity was more muted replaced by rich wild black cherry and blackberry, forest ending with the subtle soft tannins. A lovely pairing with the grilled spicy Berbere rubbed leg of lamb steaks and baked french fries.

Tasted slightly chilled then very cold. It is thin and underwhelming. Flaccid boring fairly dry wine, barely a touch of fruit and citrus. It was uneven and nearly bitter. DH consumed it very cold just to drink.

A gift from Simone, owner of Pecorino's in Grafton MA (and yes, you should make a pilgrimage): this 2013 had a soft on the mouth feel in an unexpected way, yet the tannins jumped right out but faded to exceptionally well balanced when the spiciness took front stage. Black cherries and currants intermixed throughout with an equilibrium of oak. The finish was not long, but beautifully encapsulated this wine. Enjoyed with a grilled, dry aged steak and roasted peppers and potato's.

We loved this 100% pinot noir pink-lemonade pink rose. It had a fresh strawberry nose with citrus notes. The taste and texture were a perfect balance of acidity and bright red fruit. fresh cranberry fresh strawberry lemon flinty sea salt. Paired wonderfully with bay-seasoning style broth cooked crawfish tail meat over buttery white grits.

The color is apple cider honey with glints of bronze with slow legs. It smells like honey, clementine peel, and notes of vanilla. It has a thick full round texture yet a brightness and a background of acidity. The wine has long finish. Predominately wildflower honey, with layers of peach, honeysuckle, orange blossom, lemon, and notes of vanilla, sage, white raisin and verbena. It was dessert in itself and did not need food. We tried it with a vanilla icecream and fresh blackberries one night and vanilla cream cookies another and it did not displease. We suspect a contrast of seared foie gras or other rich liver pate would be fabulous.

The wine looks crimson purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. The nose is reluctant earthy blackberry and plum. It is medium bodied with tannins provide a dry somewhat sharp leather texture. The taste is plum skin, fresh not quite ripe blackberries, notes of sage, black pepper. It probably tasting nicely now if allowed to breath for a few hours (we did not) or continue cellaring for 2 to 5 more years.

A first a bit of fruit and soft then funky. Observed Cloudiness in glass when held up to light. No more than a couple sips and dumped.

brick red, somewhat translucent. Slight past peak faded, earthy, still a tiniest bit of acidly and tannin soft dry. mushroomy, tad of tea and dried current. It was only okay until paired with supper wild boar mini-roast with black truffle and thyme butter. It paired beautifully - more so than the other barolo that was slightly younger fruity Renato Ratti 2005. Although it still a wonderful wine own its own.

Non-existent off the nose and somewhat tangy first sip, faded palate; decided to use for a venison marinade. Probably 2-3 years past its prime. Decided to open a second bottle. Only marginally improved. We may yet segue to a third bottle.

I know it has been a while since I posted as I have been recovering from a multi-year health issue that is now under control. Forgive my plebeian or pedestrian initial first attempt back. Very lemony and undertones of a savoriness my wife and I could not identify; which is shocking considering she is a gourmand chef (of our home). Refreshing and completely different than most extra Brutes we have. In some ways, I am happy I tried tried this, but also happy I only bought three bottles (from Toni Deluca now at Provisions in Northampton - stop by, excellent wine selection). Will be curious to see what I think of it next.

Wow. Our dear friend and Oenophile Lorenzo Marco Savona suggested we purchase this back 2008. We have had this in our cellar since and discovered it while performing our annual inventory earlier this season. We decided to enjoy it last night because, well because. We were going to drink this Moscato over two nights, but changed that one we had the first nose and sip. Starting with the color, a beautiful aged, dark amber; the nose was full of hints of green tea and candied fruits. What we encountered were initial sweet occurrences of apricot and dates, that settled nicely to dried apricots and another fruit we could not isolate. Truly a wonderful expression of varied Sicilian terroirs.

Enjoyed this 2004 with a rare to medium rare petite bison filet w/ sauteed/reduced mushrooms (potato and carrots too). This wine exhibited notes typical of older Brunello's; specifically what we noted was subtle, dried rose intermixed with a cherry hint (dried). The acidity was moderate and finished with a silky tannic pleasantry. Lamentably, this was our last bottle.

Nondescript initial nose gave way to mild berries, soft spices and a hint of smokiness. After 45 min, the now fragrant nose and front palate was dominated by hints of raspberry and generous red fruits. the mid palate expressed a modest bitterness that gently transitioned to an overall sweetish acidity. Still retained supporting minerality though the expected sweetness had started to fade.

Lively red fruit that faded quickly to notes of cherry and brown fruit. after 2 hours, rounded leather notes and shockingly moderate acidity. Interesting as the acidity implied it could be cellared longer, but the initial notes and secondary notes revealed it may have been just past its drinking window.

Wonderful expression of a west coast Pinot Noir if we had enjoyed it 6 months ago. Splendid aromas off the nose and initial taste, but faded with much haste. Still not terrible given we forgot about his in our cellar.
