Nose of yeast and fresh bread, oranges, lemon peel and the palate is crisp and balanced with loads of natural air in each gulp. It has a clean, light and lemony taste. Medium bodied with a pithy finish. Very nice

I like it, but was a bit of a tough sell to a large group. Some rubber-y, dirty eraser tones on the nose. It's an earthy, cider-like note that honestly smells like a lot of South African Chenin. A bit of process (yeasty, lees notes) are there alongside dried yellow fruit & melon rind. But the cider topnote is heavy. Medium feel, nice energy & length.

A private lunch (Restaurant Bak, Amsterdam, NL): Organic and biodynamic viticulture. A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 5% Poulsard and 5% Trousseau, partially aged in barrel, second fermentation with Vin de Paille must, zero dosage, disgorged August 2022. Crisp, fresh and dry, hint of earth, gentle skin bitters, apple and red fruit, steely finish, good length.

Not quite as oxidative and nutty as I remember it being the first time I had it at Brat in London. Kind of thin. Still quite drinkable and perfect as an aperitif.

Pale gold colour. Small and lively bubbles. Medium and developing nose with green apple, lemon, toast and wet stone. Medium taste of green apples, lemon, bread dough and wet stone. Medium long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Cremant that lacks some length. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well as an aperitif.

Not bad, but not something I would buy again. Lean, crisp, and almost sharp. I had a hard time wrapping my head around what I was tasting. A mix of green apple, but also some bruised red apple. Something savory too and mineral-like that I couldn’t identify. It worked on a warm, humid night.

A blend of biodynamically farmed Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir (40%), Poulsard (5%) and Trousseau (5%). Fermented spontaneously. Tirage with sweet vin de paille. 12,5% alcohol. Disgorged in March 2019.
Pale straw yellow color with the final pour or two slightly hazy. Characterful and quite Jurassic nose with aromas of fresh Granny Smith apple, sappy greenness, some rich honeyed tones, a little bit of toasty nuttiness, light marzipan tones, a hint of bruised pear and a natty touch of farmhouse cider. The wine is dry, fresh and moderately full-bodied on the palate with flavors of tart green apples, some sappy herbal green tones, a little bit of nutty complexity, light brioche tones, a hint of tangy salinity and a red-toned touch of wild strawberry. Overall the wine has a very Jurassic taste as well. High acidity with sparse and gentle yet quite persistent mousse. Although the wine is non-dosé, there is a hint of sweet richness coming from the ripe fruit. The finish is crisp, mineral and very slightly funky with flavors of tangy salinity, tart green apples, some pithy lemon notes a little bit of chopped almonds and marzipan, light chalky mineral tones, a toasty hint of brioche and a green touch of pickle juice. With air the aftertaste gains subtly sweet overtones of white peach and raw honey.
A nice, characterful and balanced Crémant du Jura which feels noticeably more Jurassic than most Crémants du Jura I've had. This disgorgement didn't feel as toasty and vinous as the one I've had before (2015-disgorgement in January 2019), instead coming across as more sappy and green - but fortunately not distractingly so. Nevertheless, I wonder if the base wine is from the lousy, cool and rainy 2017 vintage, seeing how sappy and green-toned the wine is. All in all, a nice and drinkable effort, but didn't manage to leave me as impressed as the 2015 disgorgement. Perhaps a bit pricey for the quality at 24,90€.

From 75cl, layered cork. Disgorged March 2019. Violent fizz, very small bubbles. At first these go up your nose as they do with unsuccessful home-brewed beer or cider, then they leave your tongue feeling as if it had been rubbed with fine sandpaper. There is plenty of yeast and some peaky, cider-like fruit with added lemon; the mid-palate tastes like "natural wine" but the label says there is SO2 in there, so go figure. Short, bad-tempered finish, like chewing still-greenish hay while inhaling gunpowder smoke. I have previously been very impressed by BS/AM Tissot's Vins Jaune and Vins Typé, but this bottle was for me firmly in the camp of drinks which belong in hipster bars where bullying sommeliers used to go before COVID-19 to tell each other eye-rolling stories about old fogeys like me who send back wines like this. 84-85P(?)

A blend of Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir (40%), Poulsard (5%) and Trousseau (5%). 12,5% alcohol. Disgorged in 2015. Tasted blind.
Luminous, deep straw yellow. Complex, pleasantly toasty and somewhat developed nose with aromas of bruised apple, some sappy yet red-toned aromas of raspberry leaf tea, a little bit of oxidative almond character, a hint of yeasty autolysis and a touch ripe cherry. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied, crisp and racy on the palate with bracing acidity and intense flavors of spicy red apples, some raspberry leaf, a little bit of steely minerality, light citrus notes of sharp lemony fruit and a hint of lactic yoghurt character. The mousse feels fine and smooth, but also very lengthy and nicely sharp. The finish is long, mineral and bright with mouth-cleansing flavors of steely minerality, mealy golden apples, some pithy lemon, a little bit of autolytic toast and a hint of ripe red-toned fruit.
A very lovely, fresh and racy Jura fizz with some pleasant sense of development. Still going up and will be on an upward trajectory for many more years. Very lovely stuff, but that's what I've grown to expect from Crémants du Jura - I can't remember if I've tasted a single disappointing bubbly from that corner of the world. Great stuff!

Dinner at Jake & Mo's: Excellent bubbly. Not Champagne and has no desire to be. Great focus and precise flavors. White flowers, citrus, some oxidative funk, and a bit of waxiness and almost chenin-like richness. Disgorged June 2015. A great way to start the evening.
Edit - oops: this review is for the rose, not the blanc. Thanks Jake for correcting it. Removed score here and added note to the other.
My first try of this one, this bottle is disgorged in april 2017, extra brut, very rich with a very creamy texture, quite fullbodied on the midpalate, a basket full of apples and pears, some chalky tones, ending long and tasty, but......., this is not my preferred style of a sparkler, **(*)

Youthful nose with a medium intensity. Right off the bat lots of yeast and autolytic character. Peach, lemon zest, red apple, apple sauce, orange blossom and hazelnuts. With time in the glass it develops chocolate and nougat and the apple sauce note becomes more distinctive.
Dry, medium(+) acidity and medium bodied. Round and nutty with rich fruit. Peach, cream, tart lemon and over ripe apple. Soft and creamy mousse. The finish is medium(+) with some great, zesty, bitterness.
No idea about the vintage(s) in this wine but it sure was damn good. The palate was more open and powerful than the nose and I can see this develop really nicely over the years.

A rocking wine, with a fine mousse and cider notes on the palate. I toasted my daughter and her new husband with this wine on their wedding day, so it will always have special memories for me. Pop & pour. Dark golden color with a firm mousse. This walks the line on oxidation. It shows some character, but is also loaded with freshness. Some apple & pear character is well balanced with healthy acidity. Wonderfully textured, this has an easy mouthfeel alone, but shows different character and complexity with food. Specifically a tofu & mushroom stir fry shows an earthy depth to the wine.
I enjoy the tightrope walk here of the Jurassic rusticity and the delicate nature it displays. Very clean & crisp finish. Really nice.

Soft aroma, with apple and yeast at the forefront, and more subtle nuts, pine resin, and lambic-like brett/spontaneous notes. On the palate, almost completely dry but not quite. Cider, nuts, rocky earth, and a touch of minty, piney, alpine herbs. Nice refreshing acidity. Finishes dry and very slightly bitter, with lingering brownish apples and rocky earth. On the austere side, but characterful and enjoyable. Seems to call for food - was overwhelmed by salty potato chips, and was just ok with Puits d'Astier, but went very well with Dubliner.

Much less interesting than when I last tried this wine a few years ago. Aromas of apples and, well, that was about it. Seemed to have little energy or punch, almost a bit flat on the palate with no flavor-interest, but it did have sufficient bubbles. Maybe an older bottle?

Soirée Jura (Restaurant Madame Hu, Hamburg): Light pale yellow, medium fine perlage. Quite yeasty in the nose, silvery, Brioche, pear, citrus notes. On the palate with not super-fine bubbles, stony-austere mouthfeel, feels a bit edgy and tight.

Dark golden color, lots of tiny bubbles. A massively delicious, instantly open and generous nose of ripe apple, lemon, tangerine, cherry and A LOT of toast. Based on the nose, I would easily guess this to be a grower Champagne from places like Bouzy or Aÿ. Such a vivid, deep nose that one just sinks into. A mouthfilling, luxuriously creamy mousse that stays for a good while. Dry and quite vinous with plenty of ripe, slightly oxidized apple, citrus and toast. Good acidity; somewhat earthy feel. Mostly very good and delicious, but kind of falls apart at some point and the finish is quite bland and a bit insipid. Worked well with some charcuterie and cheeses, and in this context the weak finish was not that obvious. Anyhow, even with the finish being what it is this is an remarkable wine at 11.80 €.

Delicious. Nose screams of sweet Meyer Lemons, Key Lime Pie and only touches of yellow straw and hay. Not much brioche or body. Acidic palate with nice nuances of light baked goods but not woody or nutty. Vibrant and youthful. Really nice and different from other French bubbly.

Dry and flavorful. Judged against Champagne, somewhat clunky and nothing special. A good nonChampagne sparkler that is appropriately priced. Vecchia Roma and others liked it more, probably more fairly judging it on its own merits.
nose: there is a real attractive freshness to this on the nose. Well balanced with tones of pears, citrus, some tree fruits and a touch of white florals.
taste: there is a real crispness to the acidity with a medium body. The acidity is more in the medium+ range with tones of white florals, pears, citrus and a touch of minerals.
overall: this is a real quality cremant. This brings a lot of quality at a wonderful price.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity that is very refreshing. There is nice balance to the tones of white fruits, green apples, minerals, and some melon tones.
Overall: There is a lot to like about this. It's a great value with a real style to it.

Each bottle that I drink of this is better than the one before. Apples/apple cider (not the real stuff, the sparkling clear), some citrus, a bit of yeastiness. Good the first day, awesome on day 2 -- took on a fuller feel to it, fruit was popping, great balance and finish. Had one last glass on day 4 and it was still holding its own but, had lost some of the zip of day 2. Rating is based mostly on my impression of day 2.

Check your bottle before opening! If there is a cloudy color to it, the wine has re-fermented. Thomas Calder (the importer) and Tissot are aware of the flaw. There were two batches of Indigene and one had a small percantage of sugar left and as this is a naturally made wine it runs the risk of undergoing another fermentation in bottle. I drank it anyways, I mean come on these people make weird wines. It was good and I am still alive.

Yum sticks. This is a coy little natural Jura-bubbly. A little bit of dried golden raising, citrus, and nuttyness made it simultaneously fresh, with a touch of pleasant oxidative stuff happening. This got a little more cider-like the next day. Unique and yummy.

Tissot uses yeast that has been cultivated from production of their vin de paille for this méthode Champenoise bubbly (and those yeasts were local to begin with) along with some partially dried chardonnay grapes used for the vin jaune. Nose of toasted almonds and sherry, slightly oxidative. The apples and cling fruit flavors are ripe and sweet with a goodly burst of citrus acidity on the dry finish. Makes me take notice...and smile.

Like a crazy cider, but honeyed and minerally.

Summer 14 Roadtrip -- Cass House (Cass House Inn & Restaurant, Cayucos CA): Really enjoyable. Sweaty. Nutty. Mixed jelly bean smell. Narrow beam of sweet in the middle surrounded by all sorts of earthy mushroom lemon-drop oxidative complexity. Reminds me of the Argyle extended tirage.

god crémant de Jura med duft av melne epler, kandisert sitrus og snev av ullsokk-mineralitet på duft. Rik på smak, pent balansert.

Interesting as my first Crémant from Jura. A little let down on my expectation. Straw, good strong mousse, good acid, starts off nice, goes no where, and finishes weak.
