This appears to still show a deep ruby core with some tawny color toward the edge. Aromas and flavors tend toward fig, prune and sweet cherry. Medium acidity and medium finish. Alright, but nothing spectacular. Enjoyed with blueberry cheesecake accented with chopped nuts.

Caramel apple on the nose. Not too sweet for a port. Long on the finish, with an enjoyable freshness on the end. Very good for a 10 year old tawney. First time I buy port from this house. Plus 375ml bottle is nice to have. Some might think pricey, but it is very good. I will definitely go back and buy more bottles.

Purchased for $29. Bottled in 2022. Tasted for #tawnytuesday on 12/20 with Port Drinker. Dark amber in color with ruby highlights throughout. Initial nose of caramel and figs. Seemed a bit one dimensional. On the palate, this is a sweeter tawny. Fig, caramel and pipe tobacco. This is juicy, but not lively. George said it best: this is all easy-drinking Tawny. Balanced with no discernable heat. Agree with easy-drinking. Nothing that particularly stands out. Just an enjoyable Tawny that goes down easy and doesn't require you to sit and ponder. A good mid-week Tawny.

Opening a bottle of Port set the end of the traditional Portuguese wine season and the beginning of Christmas time, when happiness favors the indulgence coming in the form of uncorking good selected bottles, directly from my cellar. Bottled in 2016 and purchased in Lisbon in 2017. Traditional old shaped. Really a beautiful and bright tawny colour. On the nose aromas of caramel and nuts. Certainly also sweet medicinal herbs. On the palate highlights its soft texture, integration of alcohol, old wood and a sweet finish. Decent seconds of pleasure. Properly paired. May I insist once again? Simple yet effective everytime I taste it. Frecuently from my cellar.

Singapore Airlines Business Class (Singapore Airlines): Standard Tawny joy - dried fruits, figs, walnuts on both palate and nose. Non-intrusive alcohol warmth, good acid/sweetness balance means this shies away from cloying thought it is quite simple. Okay.
Light medium red orange color; crème brûlée, light date, date cake nose; tasty, balanced, toffee, crème brûlée palate with good acidity; long finish (20% alcohol; natural cork)

Purchased for $29. Clear burnt orange in color. This is sweet. Much sweeter than Vallado and Grahams. The nose is a bit funky, with some sweet funk and petrol. There's the typical Tawny notes, but they seem muted. I was actually a bit disappointed. My expectations were lowered. But one sip changed that all around. Sweet figs, hazelnut, candied orange, vanilla, biscuit, honey. It's actually quite complex and each sip reveals something new. This is unctuous and mouth filling with wonderfully balanced acidity and soft tannins. The palate is fantastic. Very well done. Grade: A

Red/brown color, brown rim with some maturity. Creamy but lively nose, raspberries and strawberries, milk chocolate, some rancio. Smooth and sweet, ash and red fruits, chocolate, smokey, great combination of mature fruit and smokey rocks, some acidity still, good length. Very good tawny. Sources say 15 year old rather than 10 - not obvious, but certainly nicely matured.

The nose: Honey, prune, plum, figs. Sugar and coffee at the end. Powerful oaky finish.
The palate: Nutty and creamy feeling, with similar notes from the nose. Prune and figs is the big players along with raisins. Caramel and honey appears and the finish comes up with spices, tobacco, cinnamon and coffee. The oak is not very powerful on the palate, as it is on the nose.
I would say that the only thing that differs from a colheita, is the body. This 10 year tawny is just as powerful, just as complex and the level of sweetness, is the same. But on this wine, the body feels more medium-ish, where the colheita's is very full body all the way, and I would decant colheita ports, but I would not do it, with this wine. The only reason would to let the alcohol settle.
Very good 10 year tawny! If you dont want to pay as much for a Colheita or others, this is a little cheaper but a great alternative, if you still want a certan quality.

I never know how to rate these types of wines …. sweet wines. This tawny is damn tasty ….. medium length finish, warmth to the aftertaste. Finish shows burnt sugar and orange notes. Medium weight, not thick or syrupy. Some alcohol burn on mid palate but is consumed by plums and caramel. Very enjoyable as a late evening sipper.

Copper hued with a heavy, glycerol body. Nose of nuts and rancio. Heavy in the mouth with significant sweetness. Tastes of nuts and caramel. The finish has length, but adds bitterness to the caramel and nuts. I’ve had much, much better from Kopke. It’s OK, but nothing more than that.

The big claim here is that they blend sensory as well - meaning they tastes back all the way through their library and then make this. So I am being told its lots older than it appears. And that does show in the glass, particularly on the finish.

Third offering at a Valentines Port tasting (after Porto Kopke Lagrima White Port and Porto Kipke Rose Port). Excellent. From provided notes: Porto Kopke 10 Year Old Tawny - So well developed that it has the quality of most 20 Year Olds. With five more years of development than most 10 year olds, Kopke would qualify as a 15 Year old if it existed. Honey colored, with deep ambrosial flavors and mouth-filling richness. "Fine nose of toasted almonds with butterscotch & honey. Smooth, unctuous and very tasty... Pinkish caramel coloration, almost like a dark Rose. Nose opens with the scent of small red berries and some faint ceder. Flavors include slight caramel, berries and bitter coffee beans. Finish is abrupt and harsh. Will revisit over the next few days.

Classic tawny color, alcoholic on the nose initially (this disappeared after an hour). Classic tawny nose and palate with almonds, raisins, brown sugar and a long aftertaste. Drink now.

Mooie transparant middelbruine kleur.
Geur met caramel, cappucino, gedroogde pruimen en andere zuidvuchten.
Smaak: Niet te zoet, prikkelende alcohol met gedroogde zuidvruchten met een romige nasmaak met caramel en cappucino.

Raisny and smoky with a generous amount of oak. Unlike others I ddin't feel this knitted after three days. We saved some to see if it would improve after time but it only became more disjointed.

I disliked this wine on opening -- many notes one might find in a pinot that aren't integrated and don't work with the sugar content. The taster just below have the flavors right.
I'll let it sit and try again as they recommend.

Light. Woodsy with some nice diluted red berries. Some light nuts.
Very floral and perfumy as well. Balanced and slightly sweet.

pop&pour from a 750 ml. Much better experience this time as compared to last. Nice hints of citrus as well as blackberry on the palate. A good congruence of flavors, hints of nuts on the finish. Drinking well.
3 days open, and I'm raising my score. This is a fabulous mix of rich hazelnuts and toffee. Delicious!

WIML90. Solid NV port. Improved with some time being open. Held fairly well for a week easily sitting in the cellar. Pretty good QPR.

A bit too alcoholic to my liking. Even after being opened for 3 days, it hasn't smoothed out as much as I prefer. Nice nuttiness and carmel flavors, though.

Round, smooth, complete. Represents a real value from the oldest Port House in Portugal. Caramel covered smoke and candy coated almonds with marshmallow. 91-93+
