The warmth of the vintage was evident with a lovely note of honey on the nose. Captivating expression with requisite mineral and citrus coming along at different moments. Clearly on the riper side for Chablis but it all works. Until night two when it pretty much falls apart. The tartness of the acidity just dominates the expression now. Air and warmth don't really improve things. So probably like the '15's I'll put this in the drink soon windows.

Gilman got this one right. This 18 MdT manages to do something that few other 18s can achieve - that is, it tastes like Chablis! It’s focused, relatively restrained, with crisp acidity and good concentration. I was impressed and this crushed with tuna nigiri.

Ripe orchard fruit aromatics with floral notes, then both ripe and lean apple & pear flavors with wonderful energy. Just barely approachable, this has the stuffing to go to 2030+.

This has really changed or at least this bottle. The acidity has perked up significantly. Very tight on opening, needing about 30-60 minutes of air. Lemon zest, oyster shell and minerals. Beautifully composed, pairing so well with a diverse array of food (tonight was fusilli with clams, Serrano, pecorino, garlic and roasted cherry tomatoes). It’s amazing how this wine went from low acidity and almost flabby to tight with punchy acidity. I have one bottle left that I will likely drink this coming year.
Really nice considering the vintage. Has the Chablis character (minerals, tension, salinity) and decent acidity. No need to sit on these they are ready to go but certainly won't fall off a cliff anytime soon.

Drinking nicely! I still can't believe I got this wine at HEB. I've heard people pooh-pooh 2018 Chablis as too ripe, not classic enough. Ok. This might be longer for the cellar in a "classic" vintage, but right now it's great. Mineral, slightly overripe apple, same lemon and a nice vanilla twist on the finish from the spontaneous malolactic this undergoes.

A wonderful expression of all that a Chablis should be and at a decent price point. This wine shows a slight hint of apple and a hint of a bouquet of flowers.

Very nice Chablis. Not overly tart or citrus dominated. Nice medium mouth feel and weight. The best Chablis of the 5 new ones we’ve been trying. Nice structure. Nothing out of place. Very smooth and enjoyable. Might become our house Chablis.
This wine has evolved nicely in just a few weeks. Lovely notes of apple, lemon and mild straw. A small touch of used oak brings this wine all together. It is all about elegance. Somewhat muted on the nose, the palate is where this wine shines. Good juice.

The minerality really came out on day 2. This is rich but only in the context of chablis, and still pretty zippy and fresh overall. Good and best is yet to come.

Nydelig vin! Note to selv: smak selv, uansett!

Starts out a touch flabby and disjointed with low acid with goopy fruit. Seems consistent with the vintage. After roughly 1.5 hours, this is singing. The acid has perked up, lifting the fruit to reveal apples and pear and nice sense of minerality. The fruit is much more focused, with more Chablis typicity, though missing the chalky notes I love in Chablis. I have no idea the future of this wine. It seems like I will drink the majority of my bottles sooner with a good decant.

Steely lemon, straw, lychee. Its all fairly reserved though. Hard to coax a lot out of this. Doesn't really have that focused finished right now nor any sense of minerality. OK density. Crossing my fingers this is in some sort of dumb phase otherwise it doesn't really rise above a very basic Chablis.

Grand Cru Chardonnay (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): Had a taste from a new bottle to confirm what was going on. Served cold but, even with this, it showed aromas of lemon, green apple and little butter...In the mouth it's juicy with fleshy fruit. Balanced. Pretty good.

This wine pours medium straw in the glass. The nose is immediately expressive showing clear Chablis markers albeit with a little riper fruit. The nose shows ripe pear, chalk, oyster shell, peach, and a touch of cold cream. The palate enters with a degree of viscosity and fruit ripeness, though it turns to impressive acid (given the vintage), medium. The finish also retains a decent degree of mineral and estuary notes. While plainly not up to the level of 2017s I've had from the same producer this is still well done for the vintage and quite enjoyable.
I have read all the naysayers about 2018 Chablis. Then I tasted this, and went “who cares”? No, it’s not a 220 volt line strapped to a Chardonnay vine, but it is just plain tasty. It has depth and richness, while never going over the top. Seashells and ripe lemon pick up a little bitter twist on the finish. This is just a satisfying wine.

2018. Pale lemon color with a green hue. Reticent nose of green apple, lemon and oyster shell. A little fatter and opulent on the palate compared to what I’m used too with this producer and vineyard. I assume it’s the vintage character showing. Long mineral finish. Pleasant but I much preferred the 17.

Super simple wine. Nose reminds me of inexpensive house Champagne. Good brightness and acidity, but no real depth displayed. Finish is super short. Expected more, even at its modest price.

opens with a sweet, possibly oak signature; tastes move all over the place seemingly typical of chablis then not, while enjoyable, more so for my wife, my final thought was it just was a bit too sweet to be my typical chablis of interest.
