A bit past prime. Some maderization and caramel notes, but otherwise a pleasant crisp bubbly on a hot summer evening. REALLY enjoyed this upon release years ago.

Champagne Tasting (Sal's Beverage World, Elmhurst): Dominated by Pinot Noir. Apple and toast notes; has a dirty quality that's appealing. Nice texture with good fruit; toast and smoke qualities. $23.49.

Nose of apple and pear and a little bit of lees. Palate mostly of red apples, pear with some notes of bread. Good acidity. Overall not very complex, pretty straightforward but good. Would have liked it better around $20. 87 - 88+

Verges toward the austere, in a good way, like a brut chenin from the Loire. Showed a touch of heat when first opened, but that dissipated. Herbs and yeast on the nose. The mousse shows nice texture, then there are herbs and citrus and pear on the firm, linear, well-structured finish. Not complex, perhaps, but satisfying and complete.

A nice drinker. Crisp, clean with a ncie nose. Just a hint of yeast, more like pie crust. Actually showed better after half hour of rest. Great Oregon sparkling wine from a great Oregon wine maker.

Fabulous sparking Brut; a combo a 75% Chardonnay & surprisingly 25% Pinot Noir. Enjoyed by itself as a sipper, but also with caviar and the next day (with a good stopper) with Pain de Catalan, cheese and fresh fruit (okay, sliced pears). Yummy! I am not into numerical scoring, suffice to say this is 'extraoridinary.'

Delicious! 75% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow color. Tiny bubbles with weak effervescence. Slightly unusual – though pleasant – creamy custard nose. Medium-bodied with a very rounded mouthfeel with apple and lemon flavors. Not quite as much acid complexity as I would have preferred. Good value. Drinking very nicely now, and I’m not convinced much aging potential remains. A very pleasant domestic bubbly.

This was a light yellow in the glass with scents of dried tropical fruits and biscuits on the nose. In the mouth there was still vibrant acidity as flavors of pineapple, green apples, lemon, and lime stretched out across a slightly chalky finish. Very impressive for the money.

Smells great, disappears a little quickly on the palate but is clean and delicious. Apple pie crust, apples but short on the finish. Decent, and based on the aged flavors would buy again at $20 a bottle.

OK, not quite as elegant or as fine a bead as a top Champagne, but this is a very high-class sparkling wine with delicious flavor, excellent balance. Drinking well now, but no problem waiting a couple of years.

Beautiful scents of pears, yellow delicious apples, and creme broule. In the mouth this medium bodied sparkler shines as the bubbles explode leading to flavors of light apple, green banana, and coffee bean across a long lingering finish.

light straw colored. flowers and apples on the nose. crisp and racy on the palate, albeit a bit light, with green apple, lemons, orange peel flavors. there's only a bit of toast, and it lingers on the finish, which is medium+. solid domestic sparkler. 12% alc. 25% pinot, 75% chard.

Pours pale yellow with a dense mousse. Aromas of honey and stonefruit. A few persistent streamers with semi small bubbles. Theres a few beach balls in there. Lemony and toasty with green fruit. Nice mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

Light, but nicely layered and well balanced with notes of caramel covered apples or apple cider and crisp, baked pastry. Racy, a touch lean, and brash on the palate where flavors of citrus linger on the finish. A fruit forward style where yeast emerges only in background notes.

Had with pancetta/sage/provolone stuffed chicken. Very bright and zippy. Green apple and lemon. Not quite as much effervesence as I would have expected. Seems like a sparkler to drink on the younger side. A nice wine, not super complex, but good quality and price.

Wasn't feeling this wine tonight. Popped and noticed right away that the bubbles were lacking. Color was like golden apple juice. Not really any nose to speak of. On the palate it was an odd blend of bitter and sweet. Not sure if there is any residual sugar in this, but it tasted like a possibility. Finish was "meh". Would not purchase again.

Pale straw color. Very little nose, some hint of fruit. But wonderful green apple taste and slight apple finish. Would have again. Excellent QPR. (Label says is 25% PN and 75% Chard.)

all you could ask for in a pleasing, domestic, QPR sparkler. the finish is dry, yet short, but there is some balanced acid and good leesy fruit. you could do much worse; a pleasant surprise.

Had this to start a meal with friends. Bubbles were a bit lacking, but that may have had to do with the waiter popping it lwhen opening and having it flow out over the top of the neck. Didn't lose too much of it, but didn't give us much confidence in him. Color was clear with just a hint of golden. Nice yeast on the nose and the palate. There was a bit of sweetness on the palate also. All in all a decent entry level sparkler. Would purchase again.

Nice...Nose of biscuit dough, amaretto and meyer lemon. Full mouthfell with almond and citrus carrying through. Very fine bubbles, with a nice long finish (45+ seconds). This is a really great domestic sparkler for under $20.

Light almond color with micro-tiny bubbles. citrus and raw bread crumbs on the nose. a rich textured midpalate of biscuit and faint lime peal. Very enjoyable. 20 bucks at the local grocery store brings this at a great QPR.
