Notwithstanding the difficult vintage, this beautiful wine expresses a perfect balance, texture and tannins perfectly integrated. Blackberry fruits, ripe plums and a final note of strawberry confetti.
Nice cigar box nose. Palate is a hair thin, lacking depth of fruit, and finishes with rough, drying tannins. Pretty nice flavor, but not a re-buy for me.

Had a 375ml and a 750ml side by side. The 375ml seemed much older, red/brown colored, tannins a little bit more rectangular. The 750ml was in perfect shape, tannins silkier and lasted longer. Tasted blind and guessed, these would be 2 different wines! Both lasting long, some pepper coming through, with more temperature slightly alcoholic, but still in control. Very nice for a 2011. Underrated? 375: 91 pts; 750: 93 pts.

Appearance: clear, deep, ruby Nose: clean, medium, blackberry, orange peel, leather, cedar, fully developed Palate: dry, med+ acid, med alcohol, med tannins, med+ body, med intensity, blackberry forward, med finish
Balance - good - lots of acid and not the fruit intensity I'd like Length - good, not great Intensity - fairly intense on the nose Complexity - moderate, wasn't exactly bursting with subtlety
Nice wine, I'd say good to very good, it's fully mature now but potential to improve over 3-5 years.
