Stinky & a bit cheesy with that old Bordeaux nose. Good sweet entry of herbal blackcurrat that is accented & mostly overwhelmed by the typical Graves mineral & earth flavors. The finish eeks out some sweet red plum. A bit tired & over the hill.
Last 2 years it was in a deep sleep. I decided to try it again today....Umm...this perfect bottle-aged still sleepy but after 1.30 hours, it wakes up and shows a wonderful character of Pape Clement, mild scents of earth, mineral, wet stone, lavender. Fresh and smooth !!! such a beautifully made, medium-bodied, round and delicious. The finished is so nice...I love this wine very much...1994 I mean. ; ) Drink it now - 2012
