Opened at 11am. Great. Decanted. Put back in the bottle at 5pm and brought to Bistro Jeanty for Alan's 90th bday!!
This seemed like a bit of a modern style compared to the countless other La La's I've had. Server at Jeanty was awful, waiter was on crack or heroin. Out to lunch and then some.
The 2000 La Turque was drank w a 90 Poyferre. Most preferred the Guigal as had more flavor. I liked the BDX better. More like an orchestra.
The Guigal was like an opera singer blasting on her particular tone which had a lovely wide spectrum range. The BDX however was an orchestra of violins, drums, oboe, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, bass, symbols, saxophone, harp, etc. More complexity to me.
I feel the La Turque was in the early stage of its drinking window. Has a many years to go yet accessible. Still kinda modern compared to the 90s wine making. I much prefer the other La Turque's I've had albeit this was still a nice wine.
Kinda one dimensional in comparison to the 90 BDX. Will hold my remaining bottles a few years as see some upside. I find this vintage decent, average range compared to the other vintages of La Turque I've had.

Texas BBQ and La Las Dinner at Marc's House (Marc's House): Wow, the 2000 vintage presented as a decade younger than the ‘96 and ‘98 LaLa’s we had by its side. This ‘00 Turque edged out its fellow ‘00 Landonne we drank by its side—but just barely. Simply a gorgeous wine and probably has many years left to enjoy. We double decanted for four hours and it probably could have gone 6-7. But four worked well.

Holiday Champagne Gala (Park Ridge Country Club): In Guigal flight(s). Slightly more alluring than the bigger 1998, but not as complete. Floral, well spiced with black fruits gracefully maturing. Best I can ever recall for this wine, it is certainly in its peak drinking window.

Nose of wild herbs. Elegant. Slightly timid.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Pirate bottle. A bit lighter, less structured, good complexity, a touch diluted. No as complex. Weakest of the three 2000 LaLa's.
