Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Cherry, blackcurrant, plums, sweet spice, the fruit is slightly dried out, forest floor, a little undergrowth, slightly metallic notes. Juicy and slightly sour red over black fruit, plenty of woody drying tannins, finishes leathery, lacks generosity for me - a little austere in fact. Nah.

Decanted for sediment. Drinking really nicely out of the gate.

Stored climatized. PnP. Medium bodied, extremely elegant wine worth the relatively high prize. No need to wait longer but no hurry.

Decanted with steak. Smoothed out but dubious QPR. 13.5%

Light nose initially; light blackberry; earth; with time some manura and leather with length and classic terrior elements and long textured finish.
