Cellared since release...perfect Durand extraction...open in bottle for an hour. Dark plum, slight bricking color...nose of menthol, dusty cedar, dried cherry, leather. Some high toned acidity sour in the mouth...still quite youthful with juicy 90's style berry fruits, dusty dry cedar tannins, sour skin tartness. Some herbal complexities...tobacco leaves, bay leaf...licorice, dried currents. Does really well with meat fat to soften the acidity sours...has a really nice old school feel and taste to the wine. A little less sours and this could be a grand wine...but still, for a 25yr old qpr wine that wasn't really ment to age this long...a success!

Cedery leather-current, full body, fine tannins, underlying rustic/mushroom. Beautiful w/ a NY Strip. Cellered at 56F since purchase at release, decanted 1hr, and drunk over an hour at 62F. 2 more from the original case remain, for the next 12 mos. Delicious.

Held up really well. Good color, body was medium weight. Clarity was perfect. light fruit, smooth start to finish. Wil not get better but could last another year or so.

Good sappy full fruit. Structure is fading but fruit is still there. Very good and a real treat to taste.

Started out nicely but became very herbaceous as it opened up and lost its attractiveness. My last bottle. Wouldn't wait any longer on this.
