Another great bottle of this vintage. Light in color, but packs a beautiful flavor profile. So smooth, unctuous and earthy at the same time. Alcohol is highly integrated and fully melded into the underlying fruit.

By the glass. Tasted separately during the whole week. Too much evolved even considering its portuguese character. Lean and unsubstantiated. I preferred that masculine Ferreira indeed.
Por copas. Catado por separado durante una semana entera. Demasiado evolucionado incluso teniendo en cuenta su carácter portugués. Magro y sin fundamento. Yo prefería esa botella masculina de Ferreira.

Color: medium ruby, hints of brown Nose: raisins, old book, burnt pie crust, red berries more than blue ones interestingly. Star anise and licorice. There are tertiaries in abundance, but they do waft away to some extent, leaving room for a fairly primary figure still Palate: medium-high acidity, balancing out a clear but pleasant sweetness. It feels a little disjoint in the mouth but it sure is alive and well, and it can probably go a while more Finish: medium
Nice dessert, quite pairable, it nevertheless lacks a bit of complexity in my view. Regardless, we really enjoyed it with about an hour of air at cellar temp

Guys' Port Weekend - Seattle; 8/11/2023-8/13/2023 (Seattle, Washington): Dusty amber in color. Red fruit with some Christmas spice underneath. The smooth but intense mouthfeel exhibits slightly cloying sweetness and red currents on the finish. There is some spirit on the finish. The quality just isn't there but this also isn't undrinkable.
