  • Delightful, opened up really well after 1.5 hours open.

  • Bafflingly mace and nutmeg heavy on opening, little else. Eventually opens up with leather, strawberry and an almost Barolo like tar. Bitter chocolate on the finish. Returning five hours later, I see little improvement.
Clearly opened very early but even so, very unforgiving and rather lacklustre.

(Before you all have a strop, I use much more of a score range than your redundant 89-95)

  • Fantastic bouquet and palate. Obviously still quite closed, but still enjoyable as tannins are finely grained with some sweetness, a bit oaky but by no means overdone to my taste. Prefer the Poyferre 2019 slightly, inkier and fruitier, this is a bit more „modern“ and spicier. Currently like to drink young Bordeaux every once in a while but would wait at least 5 years if you want a more mature, refined experience.

  • Balanced, evolving in glass with a beautiful texture of black cherry and vanilla notes. The cork had a beautiful smooth vanilla note to it and portended things to come. We rate this wine a 93 tonight, but I really feel in time everything will come together for a much greater experience. Hold for 5-7 years.
