Medium-deep reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, herbs, spices, minerals & a hint of cedar & balsamic notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & plums with dusty notes, spices, some herbs & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (93+).

Benvenuto Brunello London (Lindley Hall, London): A ripe damson character to the fruit, violets, tarry and balsamic notes alongside some sweet ripeness. A thickness on the palate with a pastille flavour - maybe a little claggy. Fiery tannins and massive acidity. Atypical in style, but for my money not compelling enough to get away with it.
