  • In just the perfect drinking window right now. Opened about 2 hours before drinking and let it breath in the bottle. This was all well-aged bordeaux. Fruit mostly faded but good leather and cigar box. Tasty wine.

  • Perfect fill, cork almost broke in half but was only saturated 1/16 inch. Bouquet jumps from the bottle! Initially light color and nose of leather, red fruits and tobacco. Very soft and somewhat short on the palate. With a half hour of air, this wine opened up impressively to reveal a deep complex nose of smoke, cedar, herbs, rhubarb pie, strawberries... Medium weight with excellent length and grip on the palate. Nicely balanced with flavors that match the nose. Decent finish with fully resolved tannins. Great with a broiled, grass fed filet and sauteed mushrooms...

  • Drank with an Italian dinner. Dark ruby color, not overwhelming in flavor or palate. Just ok.

  • The wine pours a dark ruby and purplish color with slight tinges of bricking at the rim. Medium legs after a couple swirls. The wine opens with an opulence of red fruits (thanks to the merlot), cedar, sea breezes, and faint smokiness. An archetypal claret that slightly disappoints as it lacks concentration. This is a tasty wine although it is rather thin and lacking structure on the palate. There is some cloyingness to it as well. A lot of red fruits and pencil shavings come to the fore. No remarkable tannins, yet the finish is not long either. An undeniably pleasurable drink but would be easily forgotten.

  • Classic claret - cedar-y, light, delicious
