  • Great balance of fruit & tertiary notes- forest floor, leather, cigar box, earthy.
Nose is outstanding with lots of depth. Palette is floral and feminine with bright blue fruit & floral notes. Finish is long and adds to your experience from fruit to earthy notes.

A very harmonious wine @16yo old. Drink now!

    Edit:
    The routine was:
48hrs vertical in the holding chamber.
I pulled the cork, left it 30min in the holding chamber at 57F then decant in a Merlot Riedel decanter for an hour. After that I repoured in the bottle for presentation & double decant. Stayed in the chamber for 1:30hrs before taking out for room temp an hour or so before serving. Hope this helps!

  • Dark red, good acidity and good length. No discernible nose for me. I a not going repeat the typical fruit flavours and taste descriptions that are in so many previous notes on this wine.
This wine is drinking exceptionally well for me at this point in it,s evolution.
It has a gripping sweetness and an underlying tannic spine that meld well together giving me great pleasure in finishing this bottle and wanting more. What else do you need to know.

  • Black berrie quite acidic, tanins a bit rough, not well integrated, needs time i assume

  • Slow oxed for roughly two hours. This is a solid, robust red & purple wine with modest sediment at the end of the bottle. On the nose, I get black currants, black cherries, and some vanilla. In the mouth, this is a lush and juicy wine that displays mixed black fruits. The lingering finish has some plum and ash, but here the wood also starts to poke through. Overall, this is a nice, well-polished wine. It is somewhat “international” in style and feel, but that is true of many mid-2000s Bordeaux, so it's a product of its time. The oak is too much at moments, but I wouldn’t call this version “spoofed” or overdone. It should have many years left and will likely improve with more time. 91 points.

  • Had drinks at my sister's birthday dinner. Pair with Peking Duck. Decant for 90 minutes. Perfect cork. Very nice nose of blackcurrant fruity, oak, tobacco, fresh floral aroma. The flavor is black olives, black currant and blackberries. It's ripe tannins, round texture. Very nice wine. It is unforgettable.
