Light yellow. Fruit-driven nose with tropical fruit, peach, and lime. No secondary notes. Medium weight, textured and glycerine. Moderately sweet. Crystalline, succulent underripe pineapple, guava, and citrus with solid if not extraordinary acidity and excellent finishing mineral kick. Amazingly youthful, great material. I wish I had a chance to try to one in another 15 years.

Last of my bottles and a superb showing. Seems fairly mature (perhaps a bit more mature than I'd like a 2005 to be right now, given how glacially other vintages like 01 and 04 seem to be aging), though it's a beautiful wine to sit down and follow over a few hours with that sense of seamlessness and lightness that characterized the best Dönnhoff Rieslings, all the flavours coming together into a whole that's far more than the sum of the parts and individual flavour elements.

Cork crumbled and wine needed decanting thereafter. Poured back in bottle and let breathe in fridge for about 5 hours. Salted caramel, apple and pear with honey, melon and wet pebble stones. With good acidic structure keeping a good balance however maybe this time with a tad on the sweet side. Very delicious

Wonderful nose of a Riesling with early maturity, loads of diesel and honey. Mmm, Brücke is just so mineral and intense, mineral, salty, tangerine. Rather ripe in 2005 yet with enough cut and contrast to still be compelling.
