Nose: Perfumed Blackberry, Raspberry, floral elements and spice. A bit of barnyard adds earthy components. Atomized nose. Palate: Fine red fruit that was showing quite fresh. Gorgeous mineral notes in the mid-palate with cherry/berry fruits. Finish: detailed with minerals, sweet earth, dark berries and a mature grace.
Overall this was a much more nuanced wine than the 99 Champans served alongside. Suspicious that the Champans was not 100% tonight.

Hold a bit longer -- nose was outstanding - long, a bit of secondary, wide open - pronounced. The palate developed, then closed down after about 2 hours...with tannin and astringency taking over...Long finish. Overall, enjoyable.

Tasting. Simple red fruit aromas with lots more earth. Fruit starting to fade on palate, giving this an oddly rustic character for d'Angerville. Drink up soon.
