During the Grands Jour de Bourgogne walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Mongeard-Mugneret wines often get lower ratings than its peers, given how well they do in blind tastings that I have served them I wonder why. They are modern, but with well judged oak. Also today a very nice line up. The VSR Village (92pt) shows good density with dark fruit and excellent structure for its level. The Echezeaux (94+pt) is a big step up with more aroma and stuffing and the Grands Ech (95-96pt) has the most sturcure and will need a good 10 years of cellar time from here.

Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walkaround tasting with producers. The yum factor is high here, lots of ripe red cherry and berry, faintly spice, very enticing with subtle nuance coming through this young. Good+ length.
