Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Lush fruit on nose with good spice. Ripe black and red cherry on palate with meaty, rich spice. Powerful and balanced for its level, and particularly lively and energetic for a 1997.

Not the most heralded vintage, but still a good bottle nevertheless. I like oak in my Burgundy, it adds certain stamina to the rather delicate grape. The bottle benefited from air and was good to the last drop with nuances of asian spice on the nose and long finish.

nice mellow nose, very fruity and what I have come to expect from this producer. The palate was full of blackberry and had a somewhat silky feel. For a so-so vintage this wine shined very well last night. A substantial finish, but not overly long. The wine showed some age and should continue to age well forthe next 10 years at least. Secondaries just beginning to show. A nice wine from C. Dugat.

Retains some fruit, but thinning. Drink up.

Nice for its level. Red fruit. Mature, but still very nice. Nice warmth to the palate. Spice. Enjoyable.
