  Blind tasted. Dark as a Napa Cab in the glass. Strong Brett, barnyard aromas. This is a bomb on the palate! If you don't like barnyard flavors keep away but this is so full and rich with dark plums and cherries that the stinky stuff just adds more character. Big and chewy yet with great freshness and very long. a pure delight now as it is still on the fruit. A decadent Pinot!

  Big deep rich extracted red fruits, a showy wine. Ripeness of the vintage shows and this comes across much deeper than a village wine. Perhaps less nuanced then a 1er, yet retains sense of place while being large scale. Quite good now, yet no rush to drink up.

  MASTER BORGOGNA 2016; 5/10/2016-7/10/2016 (LA MADERNASSA RESORT GUARENE): Tostato, grossolano e rozzo.... al naso già un pochino avanti, mentre la bocca è rustica. Ottimo corpo e sapidità rinfrescante, ma poca armonia tra le parti. Forse l' annata generosa non si sposa bene con lo stile opulento di Dugat. Forse con il cibo potrebbe guadagnare in piacevolezza, e ha bisogno di piatti rustici e sostanziosi. Peggior vino della serata e pessimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

  Burgundy Village theme night (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Drank from bottle over 3 hours.
  Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of chalky minerality, earth, spice, dark red cherries, iron and blood with more air. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), gum-drying medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, dried strawberries, leather, earth, iron and blood. Very structured wine. Long finish. Initially felt like a massive big scaffolding structure but hollow due to the tightness and the palate not showing. However, this gradually fleshed out with dark fruit with more air.
  Very good quality. Big village with some serious extraction here. Should really have given this a good dose of air in the decanter. Drink over the next 5+ years.
