This is an infant that demands 3+ hours in the glass to witness the evolution if you're opening today. Aromatics start with heavy stem character, green and smoky. The floral notes tease out later. Palate really builds depth and sweetness over couple hours. (3126/4203)

Flawless. Gorgeous nose of cherry, pomegranate, smoked meats, Chinese 5 spice, dried flowers and mineral. It is so fine and so complete. Every sip reveals another subtle nuance and it is weightless with latent power. Tannins simply occupy a space and the acid balance is sheer perfection.

So young yet still so majestic. Typical DRC nose which was charming after an hour or so. Very long on the palate and kept growing with air for hours. Humbling wine to drink. All had this as a GC Leroy or DRC and one round the table nailed it as the RC 2012 it was.

2012 DRC Tasting (Paris, France): Much more purple in color than the LT. Wonderfully fragrant. Airy, pure, spice with a touch of stem/pine. Also slight reduction but much less so than LT. Lovely sweetness of red, blue and black fruit. Touch of mint. Somehow this is more reserved than any other wine in the lineup yet it has more flavor. Loads of detail waiting to come out over the next few decades. Love the blue and purple fruit. Very subtle, super fine grained spice. Long, long, long pure finish.

95-97 Helles Rubinrot Sehr florale Mixtur, leicht Kirsche,Tee,würzig, etwas Torf, leicht röstig. Elegant, seidig, mittlerer Körper,Präsenz, gute Säure, runde integrierte Tannine. Mittellanger Abgang.
