This was overall solid; bright red fruits, Vosne spice, floral. The fruit is borderline tart, but still good, the spice is subtle. The balance is good, but there is not really 1er cru depth or intensity here for me. It would be a lovely village Vosne, but slightly underwhelming for a 1er cru. Which I suppose fits with Chaumes really.

Still too tart which dominated the overall experience. Light body with some nice, subtle red fruit underneath. It did mellow a bit on day two but best case this is an average wine and not worth the price.

Very tasty. Nose shows red berry fruits, lots of spice, a bit of game and earth, and a hint of black tea. The palate is fresh and balanced, with good though not great depth. This is a lovely 2014 that shows the mid-weight beauty of the vintage and should develop nicely for another 5-10 years.

During a VSR tasting dinner. Nose of blue fruit, violets and some bakery spices, color and aroma profile very young. As always with Meo there is a prominent structure but the tannins are ripe, the soft side of 2014 showing. Give this a few more years and it will be lovely

Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Elegant tannin but that so silky. Cherry, violet with freshness. Very easy-drinking.
