Sexy, decadent, concentrated Vosne spice this is showing quite well given its youth — but clearly there’s a lot of material here for future greatness. Black and red fruit, lovely texture, depth and voluptuousness that is memorable.

Meo Camuzet Masterclass with Jean-Nicolas Meo (New York): This was hard to taste. Somewhat open nose but almost completely closed palate. At least my glass was. Jean-Nicolas mentioned that the '15 vintage is generally shut down at the moment with the '17 to '18 most promising for early drinking. Score withheld.

Méo-Camuzet Masterclass (Pier 60, New York): Clear ruby. First menthol and black fruit, then riper and spicy. Medium weight that is a notch up from the village Vosne. Bright, not overly sweet black more than red fruit, excellent acidity, the a good dose of soil and drying tannins. Powerful but somewhat harsh now. Give it 12+ years.

Clear medium ruby; medium plus nose of cherries, raspberries, soil, toast and vanilla; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; medium alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavor intensity; pfn with addition of sage on finish; medium plus finish; outstanding quality; fruity, fresh and gentle - could use a few more years to develop some complexity; drank with squid ink risotto
