  Christmas Day, so no notes whilst drinking. Decanted then consumed over 4 to 5 hours. Beautiful mature claret, textbook flavours. Drinking beautifully now and I guess will hold a couple of years.

  This feels right at its peak, tobacco and cedar notes, gently fading fruit, lovely mature claret, excellent value.

  In a nice spot, with a mature nose and palate of dark fruit, loamy soil, tobacco, with a decent weight and finish, only slightly lacking the intensity in the mid palate. I reckon this is pretty good value vs some of the weaker vintages of the grand vin - time to drink up.

  Red fruit aromas on popping that transition to cassis and black fruit with air. Classic rustic Bordeaux on the palate, with black fruit and velvety tannins. Still evolving but irresistible now in its early peak window. A nice expression of the grand vin.
