  Intense dark fruit, darker than plum on the nose with some floral and a hint of black licorice candy. Just a wisp of smoke. Juicy and generous but also in balance in the mouth, the candy coming around without being too much. Quite a long finish. Great structure, very balanced. Much better three hours after decanting tonight.

  Blå og sorte bær, gammel eik, vinkjeller, sigar og sort pepper. Medium taninstruktur og særdeles syrefrisk. Servert til andebryst med fløtesaus som balanserte syren godt. Åpnet 11 måneder etter at den ble testet med coravin, ett glass. Merket ingen antydning til at det hadde forringet noe på kvaliteten. Denne er fortsatt veldig ung og neste flaske kan prøves om 3-5 år.

  Dark and red berries, some sweet, menthol impressions, good and fresh acidity. Beautiful and very juicy wine which will improve with 5+ years of ageing.

  2016 Chateau d'Ampuis 2016
  Dark fruits, anise, savory notes, cooked meats & earth & some funk.
  Palate- dark berries, spice, pepper, meaty qualities with anise, medium minerality & acidity with some moderate oak in a full body with bigger tannins & a long finish. The wine has gotten bigger with air. Very nice & could benefit from some aging.

  Member contribution. This was one of the stars of the night for me which was perfect timing as I had just picked up some 18's blind. Coin flip between this and the 2013 Chave Hermitage that was open along side of it. Both showed very well but this wine is young and will continue to develop nicely.
