Decanted to serve. White flowers, citrus and pretty vanilla oak on the nose. Palate has not fully revealed the Monty weight due to its youth. The acidity level is a bit low but not too surprisingly given the warmer vintage. It clearly needs at least another 5 years to fully reveal itself.

Pop and pour. Tons of warm floral notes, gardenia, lemon zest and river rock on the nose. Palate was a bit muted and disjointed, so double decanted. Great level of weight and seriousness to this wine framed by a touch of new oak. Lots of promise, and an enjoyable drink given enough air, but won't pop another one for several more years.
