Drank together with Domaine Chevalier Montrachet at Bymark, blind. Deep gold. Very forward citrus, pear and pineapple, with lots of complexity. Wood totally integrated. Palate is mouth coating, with great acidity, balance and long, long finish. What a treat. As DG noted, it was like two race cars pulling out going through the gears and ultimately the Montrachet had one more gear.

a glass of this wine was most sent our way by the ever generous SW. It was remarked to be lighter in color that one might expect. In the mouth it was big bodied but not massive with nice peach flavors. a sneaky butter persistence was noted on the finish. Nice to try (again).

pop&pour nose - spearmint, somewhat closed mouth - powerful, loads of minerality, creme brûlée, caramel. long & unctuous. started to unfurl as it breathed and warmed. in retrospect we should have decanted. great treat to try this, thanks for your generosity.

Citrus, peach, minerals, vanilla and yellow fruit on the nose. It takes an hour plus for the wine to open up in the glass. It clearly shows the Montrachet power, finesse and layers. The Monty has excellent precision and balance.
