upslope from En Cailleret, it comes across similar. more honeyed than butterscotched, there's a sappy richness here that increases with air and as the wine warms. potent acidity keeps it all in good balance and makes for a lovely and powerful yet balanced wine with excellent length. Impressive.

From 0.375 bottle. Medium greenish yellow color with a touch of golden. Very perfumed and open, with notes of ripe citrus, orange zest, stony minerality, a touch of petrol and some cassis, there is also a hint of flowers. It's medium-full bodied, with medium acidity and excellent length. A beautifully layered and complex Virondot. This might be one of the very best 2018 white Burgundies I have had so far.

Much more balanced & expressive than 2yrs ago! Wish I had a couple more as this will really rock in a year or 3! Tonight's btl displays excellent intensity, concentration and compelling layers of stony citrus & stone fruit. Love the orange zest notes! Closes with persistence and length. Just needs to further meld all its elements. 92-93 13.5%alc Paired well with pan seared sea bass.

Yummy old-school Burgundy: a big ball of tangy lemon/lime fruit, buttery oak and reduction, with plenty of concentration and length. Just lacking a bit of cut and concentration, but straightforwardly delicious.
