Fully mature, quite fine and still rather expressive. Two bottles, both purchased on release - and stored together - were decanted for sediment and returned to bottle ~ 2 hours prior to service (note: plenty of sediment). The corks were about what one would expect for 50 yrs of age, fully soaked and brittle, but with an Ah-So, they came out just fine. Each bottle had its own identity, with just as many overlapping characteristics as unique ones. Tertiary all the way, the acids seem on pace to outlive the fruits, though these were in no danger of imminent death - perhaps another 5 yrs, actually. Still plenty of grip here, which, mentally, ups the game here as if to say that grape juice, in the right hands and from the right site/vintage, can be tough-as-nails/hearty/durable even when it comes from such a thin-skinned and delicate grape such as PN. Impressive showing, plenty of complexity to the medium(-) body; med>med+ finish. A joy, and still a very good food wine. recommended
Served non-blind and held up well even into the second day.
