Heart of Clos Vougeot: This nose has deep blue berry fruit, pleasant ripeness, and a mild spice. Bouldery minerality. This palate is juicy and punchy, but in a pleasant secondary way. The fruit is still quite robust but does have good soil influence. Hint of fennel and licorice. Ex-domaine bottles tasted with Francois Labet.

Uncorked DK: Burgundy 2004 tasting: Dark brown with some sediment. Amazing nose of sweet tobacco, cinnamon, candied orange and a good freshness. In the mouth there's initially still a good level of fruit intact. A very interesting wine, BUT unfortunately each sip completely dries out your mouth leaving you with your teeth feeling like sand and your tongue stuck to your mouth. Rating: 89. If I were to rate the smell alone: 94. (This was a bit controversial as a few found that the dryness was acceptable and therefore that it deserved a rating of 94 due to the other factors.)

Beautiful nose with wild flowers and strawberries but the palate showed a bit if fatique with fading fruit, sous bois and funk.
