  • very aromatic nose with good dark berry tones, bits of earth, dark spices, bits of violets, and dark cherries. good grand cru depth and class that is very evident on the nose with a youthful tinge to it. Very classy feel with good medium+ acidity. Excellent and balanced tones of brown spices, earthen tones, dark cherries and dark berries with a touch of violets. Very much on the young side, but a very classy Clos Vougeot. Good dark color and acidity gives this years to go along with the fresh flavors that accompany it

  • (I'm not sure if this was the Vielles Vignes bottling or not.) Young, but starting to come out of it's shell. Balanced, complex, mostly black fruit. Really picks up on the long, detailed finish. For me, one of the top wines of the evening. I like this style.
