  • Opened with Acker in HK. Slow-oxed for a while before serving.

First of the Red Flight of the night from the Domaine. Quite expressive and enjoyable, with pleasurable red fruit coming through, but not much structure and body to match. Good, not great but happy to have tried.

  • Ruby color out to a brick orange rim
Earth clay, roses cinnamon and baking spices
On the palate bright red florals and black cherry med acid and mellowed medium tannin.. overall after 15 years this wine is aged very well!

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light ruby color, with thin garnet rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of cherry and raspberry, floral notes of violet, animal notes of game, black fruit of plum, oak notes of cedar, mineral notes of earth, maturity notes of tobacco and savory, hints of herbal notes of black tea. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and silky texture, with medium alcohol and medium (-) body, medium intensity flavors of red fruit of cherry and raspberry, oak notes of cedar, black fruit of plum, kernel notes of roasted almond. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Bourgogne Grand Cru with a reasonably intense nose of high complexity, the wine has elegance and a good balance, showing decent flavors of nice concentration and also a fairly long finish. It is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.

  • Meh... It's decent enough with some green/funk on the nose intermingling with the darker red fruit. There is a firm acidity that plays along with the fine tannins and follows through to a fresh, dry finish. Not bad, but not great; good at best. Definitely not worth the price.

  • WINE TO MAGIC; 11/25/2014-11/30/2014 (TORINO - PALAZZO CARIGNANO): 25% diraspato. China, bitter, liquirizia, prugne mature e raspi verdi.
Bocca scorbutica, da nebbiolo, tannino grintoso e finale amaro alla genziana.
Vino da dimenticare in cantina, chiuso e monolitico.
