Very nice napa cabernet. Entering maturity - but still quite young. It will keep for some time. Nose with cassis, earthy notes and some cedar. Taste cassis, earth, dust and still some tannins (giving good structure).
CT Texas VI - Return to San Antonio; 10/18/2013-10/19/2013 (San Antonio): Lots to love here. Great signature nose of bright cherry, tobacco, cedar, plum, red currants, and hints of mint. On the palate, lush and light at the same time with sour cherry, red currant, cedar, tobacco, and hints of spice. Long balanced finish. Should stay at this plateau for quite a while. Drink or hold.
Top notch wine from Forman, alas my last ’96. Still quite youthful in appearance, a pleasant Left Bank aroma dominates. Earthy and leather notes, tobacco, Cassis liquor and perfect low Brett level, Resolved Tannins with medium to full weight. Backbone intact. I would say it’s in prime right but nothing suggesting any decline so thinking now thru 2020+
Nice ruby color with some bricking; nose has sweet spices, cherry fruit, cassis; palate shows great structured tannins without any drying, nice blend of cherry, darker fruits, cassis, hints of cedar; finish has moderate lasting fruit, nice, not too drying. Overall excellent and drinking at prime. 90-91
