Splash double decant and then a one hour traditional decant. Deep dark purple magenta color. Dark raspberry, graphite, lemon shortbread, and Earl Grey tea. Smooth, dry, medium bodied palate. Firm, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This was our bottle shared before attending a West End show in London. A bit disappointing for the price. It’s more serious and tart-edged than I like. Well made, but not my style.

By the glass. Another traditional winery that offers a typical blend of the area with Monastrell, Grenache and Cinsault. Aromas of pepper, Indian spices and unripe carob. Tannic structure on the palate, rustic and slightly astringent. Fortunately a high degree of acidity leaves as much freshness as length. Good grip and tension. Mineral finish. Needs time to shine. I have to look in France for a bottle with more years.
