Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 95 points

  • Tasted blind, this wine had a red/purple center with light red/puce rims. The high- intensity nose offered up smoked meet, cherries, plums, vanilla, and soil. It was a 98 level nose.

In the mouth, this wine was ripe and rich with great weight. It developed more acidity with air. However, it struggled to keep up with the complexity promised by the nose.

This wine seemed shockingly young for its age. Give it 5+ hours in a decanter. It is hard to imagine it could get better but I wouldn't say it was impossible. Fortunately, it is already pretty great.
