  • Second from a case of 6, the first in spring (arrivage) w/o taking notes felt slightly overripe, powerful and not so interesting.
Not so this time: dark red, broad black core , only little blue. Ripe nevertheless, but this time the nose scratches along the edge between iodine/mineral/seabreeze and blueish berry skin, yes the skin is very ripe, traces af maceration, but pleasing. Some smoke, vanilla,
Palatewise there is an astonishing level of fruity acid rinsing tongue and palate, ending in a finish of more than acceptable length.
Lovely young juice, a can't find a thing to complain about. Aftertaste is pure and lovely, long.
Ok, its powerful and not really what we expect from burgundy, but its Vogüe and convinces me almost more than the Musigny VV 1990 at the same stage in those days, but will maybe not last as long/need time.
PnP at 17°C over hours, keeping the temperature intermittently using the fridge. PMET 9/10, this time no regret opening. Conservative rating.
Addendum 5hrs later: More floral, fresher. Great
