Most De Vogue that I come across are either too young to drink or fully mature. This 1990 is in the latter camp. Fully mature array of savoury red cherries, lots of sous bois, leather and a hint of vegetal tone. Interestingly not as ripe as I would expect from 1990. Less exciting than the 1990 Roumier Chambolle Musigny I had last month. (84/100)

OMG. In a perfect drinking window. Served blind, and it almost tasted like a traditional barolo with good leather, earth, and red fruits with outstanding fresh acidity. The only wierd point was the low tanin compared to how young and traditional this tasted, and it was really hard to claim anything with much confidence. In short, this is a great pinot that resembles traditional barolo alot, and still got at least 5 years left till it gets boring. A damn good wine.

Quite deep crimson with an Orange hue at the rim. Floral nose, hint of strawberry and a faint whiff of sous bois. All became more exaggerated over time. Sweet start, good acidity and nice to see some tannic structure. A complete wine. Flavorsome, round and elegant. Strawberries, leather and earth. A very good bottle

Wine was marred by such wretched acidity it was completely undrinkable. Completely the opposite to a luxurious bottle 2 years ago that was much less roasted than I find the '90 Musigny to be.
