First of a 6-pack bought shortly after release. This is just in the early stages of its peak drinking window with so much fresh red berry, savory spice, and very bright mineral textures through to its long-ish finish. A great Village level wine. Good through at least 2030 or later.

Mixed WTDS at The Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Medium dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. Deep red fruits, muddled vegetal notes, vinyl, naugahyde-like, and eventually a little soft perfume on the nose. The palate is sour cherry, well spiced, oak, and medium plus bodied. I had higher hopes.

David's btl at The Kenwood. Excepting some tannins to further resolve this was farther along than I anticipated. Not sure how much air this saw which may account for the modest tannins still needing time. Color was a semi opaque mature garnet tinted ruby. As expected at pushing age 15. This started out a little sour cherry and moderated to a slightly less tart version over time along w/ adding richness. Along with the cherry came mineral, underbrush & spice notes. 92-93 Very much enjoyed the contrast alongside my '08 Mugneret Gibourg CM Fuselottes Ler Cru. Great to taste two fairly different Chambolles from the '08 vintage, side by side, tonight!

SLDS May 2021: Charcoal, ash, cherry and cocoa on the nose. Bright on the palate, good acidity and texture with moderate depth. Improved slightly with air but looking good for drinking now.

Drinking beautifully; perfumed and lush. Tannines have softened and now well balanced w red fruits aromas
